Calhoun County Meth Task Force
The Calhoun County’s Meth Task Force is part of the Substance Abuse Council, a drug prevention coalition serving Calhoun County, and is chaired by the Calhoun County Prosecutor and MSP SWET Team Lieutenant.
Meth Task Force Members include: Calhoun County
Prosecutor, Dept. of Human Services, County Health Dept.,
Michigan State Police, SWET; Calhoun County Sheriff and all
law enforcement agencies in the county, city of Albion,
Psychological Consultants, Summit Pointe, CISD, schools,
Battle Creek Health System, Realtor’s Association, Drug
Court. The task force always seeks to expand
membership to include those working in people’s homes, in
the provision of services to individuals and families,
hospitality businesses, cleaning services, waste pick up
companies and landlords.
Activities of the Task Force
include:
• Retailer awareness: information updates and print
materials supplied to local retailers.
• Education: workshops and trainings organized for
all sectors of the community including school personnel,
human service organizations, and the Calhoun community at
large.
• Media and Public Awareness Campaigns throughout the year.
• Signage Campaigns through out the county.
• Advocacy for Meth education and treatment throughout the
year.
• Member of the State Meth Task Force.

Meth Taskforce Meetings
We will continue quarterly
meetings of the Calhoun County Meth Task Force. Please note
meeting dates and come to share information, get updates on
what is happening in our county and beyond, and learn about
opportunities to prevent, intervene, and take community
action on methamphetamine issues.
