The Community Sub-Committee is Responsible for Implementing the Following Programs:
- Parents Who Host Lose the Most: Don’t be a party to teenage drinking – a campaign to increase awareness of the dangers surrounding underage drinking through media messages, window clings and yard sings.
- Plant the Promise – a project for youth during Red Ribbon week to plant red tulips and sign pledge cards with their parents to not use and parents not provide. Tulips bloom in spring, prom graduation, as a reminder not to use alcohol or other drugs.
- Sticker Shock Campaign - a program where community youth put brightly colored stickers on multi-packs of alcohol at participating stores throughout the county.
- Spring Break Flyer – information for parents, youth and retailers to help protect kids from alcohol dangers during spring break
- SADD – advise and recruit members in regards to SADD projects and activities.
- Awareness Presentations – to community groups such as Kiwanis Clubs to show the importance of limiting access to alcohol
- Town Hall – planning and supporting the upcoming event and volunteering for the Reach out Now Teach-Ins
- Alcohol Awareness Month / Prom and Graduation projects – creating and accepting proclamations, sending letters to parents of graduating seniors.
