Recovery Committee

The Recovery Committee is supported by individuals in recovery, family and friends of those in recovery, addiction treatment professionals and representatives of recovery support groups, as well as residents who wish to encourage a healthier, happier, drug free community.

Recovery Committee goals include:

  • Breaking the cyclical nature of substance abuse addiction within families
  • Connecting the community with recovery resources
  • Increasing public awareness and understanding of substance abuse, the recovery process, and the importance of community support of recovering individuals
  • Reducing the stigma that often discourages substance abusers from seeking recovery
  • Celebrating the personal successes of our recovering community

 How can you help?

  • Join the Recovery Committee
  • Join our Corporate Cup team
  • Volunteer assistance at town halls
  • Donate bottled water or snacks for town halls
  • Send us your recovery story to share the power of possibility recovery offers those struggling with addiction (submissions remain anonymous)
  • Make a monetary donation to the Substance Abuse Council’s Recovery Committee or the recovery organization of your choice
  • Participate in surveys to evaluate the community’s recovery-related resources and needs
  • Be supportive of fellow community members in recovery
