Welcome to Substance Abuse Council

Since 1989, the Substance Abuse Council (commonly called “SAC”), has operated through the pillars of empowerment, healing, and hope. SAC is dedicated to raising awareness, providing unwavering support, and cultivating better futures for individuals in Calhoun County impacted by substance use. SAC offers intervention and support, focusing on education, healing, and recovery. SAC helps individuals build healthy, prosperous, and drug-free futures.

*We are located on the 2nd floor of the Riverwalk Centre in downtown Battle Creek, commonly known its blue steel roof.

Parking: We recommend pulling into the Jackson Street Parking Ramp at the Entrance to Riverwalk Centre. 3 hr. parking is free. Max $5 a day.

24/7 Crisis Care Available

Emergencies or crises related to substance use can happen at anytime. Assistance is accessible and available around the clock to support individuals in need. Call or text 988 for help 24/7/365!
